Service

This depends, but we do advise you book an appointment as soon as possible. We do get very busy and appointments can be booked out as far as two weeks ahead.

On your home visit we will advise on exactly how long your blinds will take to fit.

We work to the schedule which suits you. During a house visit for measuring window spaces and selecting appropriate window dressings, we take the time to consider the end result but also the optimal path to getting there.

Weekends can be quite popular and so we're always upfront about our lead times - we can always work around you.

Our team are advisers, not salespeople. We take pride in giving all the information you need to make the right decision on the best window dressing for your home, without any rushing or sales pitches.

On  appointment day we arrive on time, with fabric samples to hand, and help you pick out the type of window dressing which works best for you. We've plenty of colours and patterns to show for each style. We then measure your windows and quote based on what you've chosen.

We never pressure sell and are happy to leave our quote with you—so take your time deciding what you like to order and we'll take care of the rest.

All blinds, curtains and shutters which we fit in your home come with a 12 month guarantee as standard!

When we visit your home and you've chosen the perfect fabrics, we'll sort out free samples sent right to your home.

This depends on the type of blind you order.

Blinds and curtains can take from 2–5 weeks, and shutters can be much longer; up to 18 weeks at the busiest times. We advise on properly accurate timescales when you place an order.

We provide free installation for all of our blinds!

Unfortunately we do not provide a measuring and fitting service for blinds purchased from a third-party.

No, you don't have to be. If you're comfortable we'll take care of the work while you're out but somebody does need to be there for access to the home and settle any remaining balances.

 

Home visits typically takes around an hour or a little less. If you require lots of blinds, curtains, or shutters, then it can run up to 2 hours. 

The installation appointment again depends on how many blinds, curtains, or shutters you've ordered. This could be anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours. We will advise you on how long we think your installation will take when you make your order.

If you experience a problem with your blinds after the warranty period, we are more than happy to take a look.

We don't do 'call-out charges' to assess the problem. If it's a simple fix we'll fix it right there and then—we'll just ask you pay for any parts if they're required.

If your blind has a serious problem it may need to be taken away for repair or replacement. If this is the case we'll advise on the costs after taking a look.

Tips and advice

All of our motorised blinds are controlled via a smart home hub, which we can supply.

Yes, as proud members of the British Blinds and Shutters Association (BBSA) we ensure that every blind we install conforms to the latest child safety regulations (and beyond).

We are here to help, we are advisers not salespeople, but with our expert knowledge, we'll be able to guide you towards the best choice for your home. Sometimes there is a lot choose from (we have a lot of options), but there's no need to worry; we're confident that we have the window dressing you didn't know you needed.

Most of our motorised blinds have a rechargeable lithium-ion battery conveniently built into the motor. You can use the supplied remote control to adjust on-the-fly. These typically last 3–6 months before needing recharged with the provided charger.

Other types of motorised blinds which we supply can run off an external power source or even recharge via solar panel.

Although there are many types of bay windows, the type of dressing that works best is a difficult question to answer, the most popular way is with wood-slat venetian blinds or roman blinds but this does not mean that other blind types are not suitable. 

As well as sample books we also carry an iPad with lots of photos of our work so you can see what different types of blinds look like.

Payments

Depending on the type of blind; its width and drop, and the chosen fabric (in addition to the size of your windows) prices can vary. Every house and window is different.

We are more than happy to visit your home and measure your windows for free to give an accurate cost.

We accept almost all major credit/debit cards as well as bank transfer.

At the moment we do not offer payment terms, however we are looking at possibly offering payment terms in future.

We collect deposit at the time of order. The remaining balance due is then paid to the fitter when your blinds are actually installed.

If you are paying by bank transfer this should be completed by the installation date (preferably in advance).
